February 14, 2010 - Barcelona – Today sees the announcement of Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of Xperia™ X10, which will deliver powerful and application packed mobile phones into the industry. By introducing mobile phones that are both compact and clever, Sony Ericsson is challenging the norm and defining a brand new offering that combines high specification features with a version of Sony Ericsson’s powerful UX platform specifically designed for smaller devices.

Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro with slide out QWERTY keyboard offer an open and intuitive communication entertainment experience and build on the human curvature design philosophy debuted by the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ X10. Combining the Android platform with signature applications and a customisable UX platform, communication truly becomes entertainment with these new mobile phones. To enhance the experience, pick and choose from a multitude of applications at Android Market™ and co-create a mobile phone experience that is entirely unique. Users can go one step further and customise the home screen’s four corners and widgets to access the most needed applications for limitless possibilities.

The two sister mobile phones incorporate the signature application Sony Ericsson Timescape™ which brings all communication together in one place so users can see at a glance text messages, missed calls, and Facebook™ and Twitter updates, without having to open lots of different applications. The interactive music player also uses the “infinite button” to pull together all music content from the music store and YouTube™ – a smart way to search for new tracks from a favourite artist.

The X10 mini will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Pearl White, Black, Pink, Lime, Red and Silver

The X10 mini pro will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Black and Red.

Sony Ericsson is also introducing the Portable Stereo Speakers MS450, to deliver rich on-the-go sound and the Hi-Fi Headset MH810 with remote with superior audio and remote media and call handling.

my point of view... lha wong X10-nya aja belon keluar di pasaran... tapi udah announce X10 mini, dan X10 mini pro. jadi bingung kalo gue mah.

di Indonesia X10 juga menurut gue masih ponsel yang speknya masih di atas kertas... belum ada end-user yg make (kecuali mungkin proto yg udah ditest sama orang2 tertentu di Indonesia).

kalo urusan price policy-nya SE... mungkin dicoba diinget2...... smart phone ya... bukan cybershot walkman k series c series de el es be.

gue ga tau waktu P800, P900, dan P910 price policy-nya waktu first launch seperti apa. tapi yg gue inget... mulai P990... flagship phone SE pada jamannya, antara announcement sama keberadaan di pasar... seinget gue nyampe setaon.. itupun pas keluar so many bugs... dan dengan harga 8 - 9 jt kalo gue ga salah inget.

kemudian mungkin latah ikut2an gaya-nya komunikator.. X1... dengan harga ... hey... mirip2 sama P990 yah rupanya harga first launch-nya...

berarti emang udah dari dulu kalo gitu....

Seingat gw, dl beli P900i di mega mall pluit itu berkisar 6jt an bro, P990i hampir tembus 10jt kan? CMIIW

harga akan jadi faktor yang amat sangat menentukan buat SE ditengah gempuran hp cina yang ktnya tahun ini mulai pake 3G, Android n WIFI

Batman itu kode utk seri apa sih? X10 ya? kok sering disebut2 disini.

Kemarin aku liat di youtube X10 Hands On yg di post 3 month ago, disitu X10 sudah lebih cepet lho pada bagian yg keluar 3d card contactnya, awal2 dulu di preview nge lag bgt.

Yang X10 mini ini android 1.6 ya? Trus kalau screenya cuma qvga bisa pakai aplikasi yg di Android store gak ya? rata2 yg android resolusinya HVGA,

bgni bung X800 mengapa disebut batman karena X10 mini nama lainnya robyn, nama Resmi X10 sih rachael maryam hehehe.bkan denk rachael doank. Jadi biar pas aja batman n robyn.Bgtolah sejarahnya.

Oalah gt ta, makanya kok ga familiar, padahal aku update berita ttg SE

Jiahhh..klo ada HP SE yg prototypenya namanya Batman..bs kena tuntut WB..hehe

Cuman pemberitahuan saja, ternyata versi OS di Android itu penting, terutama untuk di beberapa aplikasi ada yang membutuhkan,lebih dr sebuah donut.

Kuharap SE segera dan bisa mengupgrade mini pro, dan jangan bernasib kayak Batman.,

Sekali2 Robyn harus unjuk gigi.

Katanya Pihak SE sendiri diusahakan ada upgrade kok, tapi apa kalau udah diupdate layarnya bisa lebih dari 65rb warna ya?

Nope. Color depth kan hardware, bos. Android 2.x akan nge-update fitur2 berikut:

dan yang terpenting, rata2 app di market membutuhkan minimal versi 2.* plus rooting A.K.A Jailbreak.( untuk sementara berlaku untuk nexus one)

Dan aplikasi yang sudah dirooting, banyak dpt yang bagus2,

Sejauh ini yang bisa dirooting sama di modif ROMnya cuman Nexus One,

ROMnya jadi Cyanogen dan PandaHouse ( kalau gak salah,), dan hasilya lebih interaktif. Itulah keluarga HTC, ROMnya bisa diubah sana dan sini, dan makanya X1 bisa jalanin eclair, Ragu untuk X2.

Kalau xperia X10 series bisa untuk di rooting dan di ubah ROMnya, aku ragu.

yup, kyknya fungsi remote memang ga bisa kalo pake 3.5 biasa, ni jacknya mirip kyk walkman2 jadul tp jack gepengnya lebih mini dibanding walkman jadul.kebiasaan sony, bikin jack aneh2..lumayan buat nambah penghasilan dari jualan aksesoris

keuntungannya : hpnya bisa pake jack headphone merek bebas asal 3'5mm
kerugian: earphone SEnya ga bisa dipake di perangkat audio lain. soalnya bakal nyangkut hmm
