February 14, 2010 - Barcelona – Today sees the announcement of Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of Xperia™ X10, which will deliver powerful and application packed mobile phones into the industry. By introducing mobile phones that are both compact and clever, Sony Ericsson is challenging the norm and defining a brand new offering that combines high specification features with a version of Sony Ericsson’s powerful UX platform specifically designed for smaller devices.

Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro with slide out QWERTY keyboard offer an open and intuitive communication entertainment experience and build on the human curvature design philosophy debuted by the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ X10. Combining the Android platform with signature applications and a customisable UX platform, communication truly becomes entertainment with these new mobile phones. To enhance the experience, pick and choose from a multitude of applications at Android Market™ and co-create a mobile phone experience that is entirely unique. Users can go one step further and customise the home screen’s four corners and widgets to access the most needed applications for limitless possibilities.

The two sister mobile phones incorporate the signature application Sony Ericsson Timescape™ which brings all communication together in one place so users can see at a glance text messages, missed calls, and Facebook™ and Twitter updates, without having to open lots of different applications. The interactive music player also uses the “infinite button” to pull together all music content from the music store and YouTube™ – a smart way to search for new tracks from a favourite artist.

Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro supports HSPA 900/2100 and EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, HSPA 850/1900/2100 and EDGE 850/900/1800/1900.

The X10 mini will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Pearl White, Black, Pink, Lime, Red and Silver

The X10 mini pro will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Black and Red.

Sony Ericsson is also introducing the Portable Stereo Speakers MS450, to deliver rich on-the-go sound and the Hi-Fi Headset MH810 with remote with superior audio and remote media and call handling.

Kok pada meragukan resolusi layar X10 Mini?
Emang resolusinya berapa? QVGA kan?
Itu kan resolusi layar yang umum, sangat umum.
Bingung.

Spec di situs resmi Sony Ericsson maupun gsmarena menyebutkan bahwa Xperia X10 Mini dan Xperia X10 Mini Pro adalah 16 juta warna.

Yap, beda X10 Mini dengan X10 Mini Pro adalah di QWERTY keyboard hardware yang hanya ada di X10 Mini Pro.
Harga gak mungkin sama persis, yang pasti X10 Mini Pro akan lebih mahal daripada X10 Mini karena adanya QWERTY hardware tersebut.

setelah ngeliat dummy nya jd ga syur lg karna bener2 kecil bgt dah,,,, nabung aj dl ahhh untuk beli kakaknya yg X10 aj hehehehe

perasaan kmaren roadshow SE dah dipamerin kan dummynya mini, mini pro ma vivaz pro jg...

kebetulan saya posisi dijogja lihat di pameran roadshow sonyericsson. emang kecil bgt dah mungkin klo jempolnya kegedean bakalan susah, tapi ya ga tau jg yah live nya gmana hehehe. td adanya dummy yg X10 mini aja yg pro blom ada.

dummynya bisa diliat pas roadshow SE.
ukurannya sekitar.. errr.... anggap aja ambil bagian layar m600 doang, dipotong bagian keyboard kebawahnya.
tapi lebih kecil dari itu lagi sih... ya begitulah... kecil.... deh.....

65k karena sistem operasinya masih android 1.6
android 1.6 emang fix darisananya cuma support 65k
tapi dari segi hardwarenya udah support 16jt warna.

nah, tar begitu x10 mini dapet update ke android 2.1
fitur 16juta warnanya bakal nyala

layar M600 itu 2,55 inch. sama kayak X10 Mini. ;D

Mending cek langsung barangnya atau dummy-nya dulu sis sebelum memutuskan kekecilan atau nggak.
Soalnya "kekecilan" itu relatif buat tiap orang.
Kalau buat gw sih X10 itu kegedean karena gak bisa operasi satu tangan, hahaha...

Kalo soal resolusi layar dan ketersediaan aplikasi, bukannya aplikasi2 (at least, selain game) jaman sekarang itu udah dibuat menyesuaikan dengan resolusi layar ya ?

Ibaratnya kayak browser di komputer aja. Mau di buka pake monitor resolusi 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x720 ya tetep bisa.

Tapi ga tau deh implementasi sebenernya gimana. Belum pernah nyoba Android juga sih...

kl yg mini pro rasanya gak masalah...kl yg mini...hehehe...gak bs bayangin kl aku yg pk, gak mungkin bs sms pasti...hehehe...tp make x10 biasa jg rasanya ogah...masuk kantong gak enak...digenggam jg berat n takut kbentur bntur...dan yg pasti mahal...suara hati orang kere yg sirik gak mampu bli....kekeke...

Gw meragukan resolusi layar mini dan mini pro soalnya hp Android dari brand ternama jarang yang punya resolusi layar segitu:
LG gak ada
Optimus=HVGA
GW620=HVGA
Samsung gak ada
Galaxy S=WVGA
GalaxySpica=HVGA
Galaxy=HVGA
Motorola gak ada
Milestone=WVGA
DEXT, Cliq XT = HVGA
HTC, cuma Tattoo, Wildfire
SE cuma X10 mini dan mini pro
gw cuma tulis yang masuk ke pasar internasional, yang khusus buat Amrik, Korea gw gak masukin

^ trus yg make HTC Tatto ama Wildfire ada yg complain ngga ttg adanyaaplikasi2 android yg ngga compatible?

Kurang tau sih, gak terlalu ngikutin, tapi kasusnya mungkin sama dengan OS lain yang hpnya punya resolusi layar beda sendiri, misal Samsung I780
