February 14, 2010 - Barcelona – Today sees the announcement of Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of Xperia™ X10, which will deliver powerful and application packed mobile phones into the industry. By introducing mobile phones that are both compact and clever, Sony Ericsson is challenging the norm and defining a brand new offering that combines high specification features with a version of Sony Ericsson’s powerful UX platform specifically designed for smaller devices.

Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro with slide out QWERTY keyboard offer an open and intuitive communication entertainment experience and build on the human curvature design philosophy debuted by the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ X10. Combining the Android platform with signature applications and a customisable UX platform, communication truly becomes entertainment with these new mobile phones. To enhance the experience, pick and choose from a multitude of applications at Android Market™ and co-create a mobile phone experience that is entirely unique. Users can go one step further and customise the home screen’s four corners and widgets to access the most needed applications for limitless possibilities.

The two sister mobile phones incorporate the signature application Sony Ericsson Timescape™ which brings all communication together in one place so users can see at a glance text messages, missed calls, and Facebook™ and Twitter updates, without having to open lots of different applications. The interactive music player also uses the “infinite button” to pull together all music content from the music store and YouTube™ – a smart way to search for new tracks from a favourite artist.

The X10 mini will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Pearl White, Black, Pink, Lime, Red and Silver

Sony Ericsson is also introducing the Portable Stereo Speakers MS450, to deliver rich on-the-go sound and the Hi-Fi Headset MH810 with remote with superior audio and remote media and call handling.

Today Sony Ericsson announced that another member of their XPERIA family of Android-running smartphones has started shipping. The compact Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini pro should be available in your nearby stores in the following days.

Bringing a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard in a compact and elegant shell, the XPERIA X10 mini pro is a great choice for people who want a functional no-nonsense smartphone. While its price tag is yet not officially confirmed online stores accept pre-orders for the X10 mini pro starting from 400 US dollars.

This is almost 100 bucks more expensive than the lowest price of the vanilla Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 mini that we found, but we guess the price gap will be reduced in the following weeks. After all the QWERTY keyboard fixes one of the main shortcommings of the X10 mini, but the rest of the specs are too similar to justify such difference.

Meanwhile, we received our X10 mini pro testing unit so we are already working on its detailed review. Stay tuned!

Oh ya. Review X10 Mini (doang) udah ada di tabloid Pulsa. Tapi reviewnya mengecewakan karena ga detil dan cuma 1 halaman (masa untuk ponsel sekelas X10 Mini cuma dikasih 1 halaman kayak ponsel low end atau ponsel China ??). Kalo emang ga ada space ya mendingan jangan di-review dulu, atau kalau tetap mau review... korbankan review ponsel lain. Lama-lama berhenti beli Pulsa juga nih... hehehe....

Review dari Pulsa memang cetek.... media2 cetak lain ttg ponsel juga begitu, tapi sama kasusnya nih bro @Aequitas, kenapa gak berenti2 jg beli pulsa yah tiap terbit hehehhe...

Beli Pulsa buat jadi tambahan pertimbangan aja sih, selain liat GSM Arena, Mobile Review n FP. Trus lumayan juga ada daftar harga di situ, walaupun ga mungkin bisa terlalu akurat.

Nih, ngomongin Pulsa di sini diliat ga ya sama mereka ? Kalo iya, semoga jadi bahan perbaikan.

X10 Mini Pro udah ada barang dalam beberapa hari apa ngga ya ?

Kok mini pro, bisa selisih banyak yah soal harga dari mini??

Mungkin semakin kecil size-nya, semakin sulit bagi mereka untuk menekan cost produksi (biasanya makin kecil makin mahal kan).

Tapi kalo beneran beda jauh kayak gitu, berarti berita buruk. LG GW620 yang spec-nya kurang lebih sama (layarnya malah lebih tinggi resolusinya), harganya sekitar 3,5 juta. Nanti kalo X10 Mini Pro udah ada barang, bisa jadi malah harga GW620 udah turun juga...

Mustahil lah masa bisa beda jauh gitu, itukan harga pre order dan belum ada price official lagi, perkiraan gw yah selisih paling gede 500rb lah, kaya Vivaz selisih 300rb + minor downgrade kamera

Kalo selisihnya lebih gede dari Vivaz dan Vivaz pro kayaknya mungkin deh..
Mini pro ga ada downgrade kamera, dan malah bisa lepas pasang batrenya tuh..
Jadi malah ada upgrade menurut ane..
