February 14, 2010 - Barcelona – Today sees the announcement of Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro, compact versions of Xperia™ X10, which will deliver powerful and application packed mobile phones into the industry. By introducing mobile phones that are both compact and clever, Sony Ericsson is challenging the norm and defining a brand new offering that combines high specification features with a version of Sony Ericsson’s powerful UX platform specifically designed for smaller devices.

Xperia™ X10 mini and X10 mini pro with slide out QWERTY keyboard offer an open and intuitive communication entertainment experience and build on the human curvature design philosophy debuted by the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ X10. Combining the Android platform with signature applications and a customisable UX platform, communication truly becomes entertainment with these new mobile phones. To enhance the experience, pick and choose from a multitude of applications at Android Market™ and co-create a mobile phone experience that is entirely unique. Users can go one step further and customise the home screen’s four corners and widgets to access the most needed applications for limitless possibilities.

The two sister mobile phones incorporate the signature application Sony Ericsson Timescape™ which brings all communication together in one place so users can see at a glance text messages, missed calls, and Facebook™ and Twitter updates, without having to open lots of different applications. The interactive music player also uses the “infinite button” to pull together all music content from the music store and YouTube™ – a smart way to search for new tracks from a favourite artist.

The X10 mini will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Pearl White, Black, Pink, Lime, Red and Silver

The X10 mini pro will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Black and Red.

Sony Ericsson is also introducing the Portable Stereo Speakers MS450, to deliver rich on-the-go sound and the Hi-Fi Headset MH810 with remote with superior audio and remote media and call handling.

Ukuran layar itu ukuran fisiknya bro... yang biasanya diukur berapa panjang garis vertikal melintangnya, dan satuannya biasanya inchi.
Semakin besar "inchi"-nya semakin besar ukuran layar dan hampir pasti semakin besar body handphone-nya.
Contoh ukuran layar terbesar yang dimiliki SE saat ini adalah X10, yaitu 4" (4 inci).

Sedangkan resolusi adalah kerapatan pixel yang mampu dipancarkan oleh layar. Semakin tinggi resolusinya akan semakin bagus dan tajam warna-warna yang mampu dipancarkan oleh layarnya.

Nah... apabila kita membandingkan dua dimensi layar yang berbeda (misalkan 2 inch dan 2,6 inch) tapi resolusinya sama, maka titik2 yang ada di layar 2 inch itu akan lebih kecil, dan otomatis gambar yang dihasilkan akan terkesan lebih 'rapat'.

Itulah sebabnya, umumnya semakin besar dimensi layarnya..... maka resolusi layar juga akan semakin ditingkatkan oleh vendor.

tertarik nih ama yg pro, tapi untuk fungsi office nya enak gak yah? selama ini gua pake m600 yg udah termasuk lengkap. mau office bisa, kirim email pake attachment bisa, buka email yg ada attachment office juga bisa. kira2 untuk yg pro ini gmn yah?
ada yg bisa bagi2 informasi? enak gak yah edit2 file office langsung di devicenya?

Sangat tidak nyaman bro...dijamin deh.........

Bro bro ikutan yah, baru 3 hari dapet X10 Mini, imut bangeeet....
tapi overall puas sama kinerjanya, snapdragon ga bikin lag, cm saat dia konek untuk upgrade timescape atau sync dengan server sony jd agak lag dikit....

1 yg aku keluhin adalah pemakaian keypad untuk ketik, sangat2 tidak nyaman, jadi males mau chat atau ketik sms panjang2...

layar sentuhnya jg krg responsif....

tapi jangan salah kalo udah masuk multimedia, aku convert film buat ipdo di 320x240 diputer lancar sama si imut ini, resolusi jg bagus, suara mantap, browsing jg kenceng..

bbrp pertanyaan sih :
1. cameranya ga bisa disetting ya?
2. gimana cara root/upgrade os?

agak lag tuh cuman sementara waktu konek ato terus2an?

nah kalo keypad sudah kuduga pasti gak nyaman...... mao chat juga pasti ogah
perkiraan yang sudah lama ku perkirakan..... makanya saya lebih suka mini pro karena ada qwertynya

wah layarnya kan capasitif masa kurang responsif?
mungkin masalah OS kali ya?

klo camera katanya sih klo yang besar bisa di seting
klo upgrade OS kayaknya belum bisa
nunggu Q3 mao kluar OS yang 2.1 eclair

layar sentuh utk sy responsif....malah lebih responsif di banding X10

ngetik....bagi saya nyaman bisa one-hand koq, temen sy banyak yg pake spt HTC Magic, Hero kalo lagi posisi portrait malah virtual QWERTY di ganti dgn model spt Mutli-Tap sama kaya X10mini

Camera gak bisa di seting, cuma bisa pilihan normal, macro, sport dan twilight , selain flash on/off

Lom bisa di ROOT utk X10mini, tp X10 udah bisa ----> cek ke forum xda dev

btw hasil camera di beberapa kondisi lebih bagus X10mini daripada X10

Capasitive VS Resitive gak jamin selalu menang Capsitive lho.....udah terbukti dibeberapa Hp full touch-screen

itu maksutnya ga selalu menang capasitive dalam hal respon ato apa?

kalau resistive lebih responsive daripada resistive seh enakan responsive dong kalo misalnya gitu........
bisa tangan bisa styluss tergantung situasi

betuel...Resitive bisa pake stylus utk gambar2, tanda-tangan (hehehe gak penting ya), btw dari jaman PDAPhone WinMo g udah jarang pake Stylus nya koq, pake ujung jari or kuku....nah kalo emang perlu stylus baru pake

Toh udah dari dulu ada software utk Virtual QWERTY dan tuts yg gede2 soa bisa pake ujung jari kaya layar Capasitive

Sorry bukan belain Resitive, tp kayanya sejak Capasitive....Resitive seolah2 ke laut aja :P

Tapi g pribadi kalo sama2 responsive nya antara Resitive dan Capasitive...g lebih suka Resitive krn ya itu...masih bisa pake Stylus kalo diperlukan terlepas penting gak penting, di pake apa gak kepake

mksdnya gini sih, klo kita buka email yg ada attachment file office, apa bisa langsung dibuka? klo email kita mau attachment sih harusnya bisa lah yah. lalu klo buka di file xplorer gitu, pas kita double klik di file nya bisa langsung buka document to go nya?

ikutan nimbrung yah, soalnya sedang mempertimbangkan utk membeli pro mini.
sepertinya gak smart phone, tp lbh ke multimedia phone. benar gak yah?

Maksudnya sangat gak nyaman itu krn ukuran layar nya, bukan soal QWERTY keyboard nya, terus terang utk Excel dgn layar 3" aja masih gak nyaman, gimana cuma 2,55" ?

Malah kalo lagi serius kerjaan yg bener2 pake Excel...di netbook g yg cuma 8,9" aja kerasa koq, enak tuh di layar 17" lah..... hehehehe

Kalo bener2 mau di pake utk kerjaan spt Ofice.....cuma saran...meding cari yg min layar 3,7" deh or kalo fans SE ya pake X10 dgn layar 4" tuh.....

itouch ku juga ada doctogo tp aq ndak pernah pake...kurang nyaman...fungsi mouse di kompie itu lho yg tdk bisa tergantikan...cuma tak pakai untuk liat pdf doctogo nya itouch
