With the recent evolution of PlayNow™ arena, Sony Ericsson’s popular over-the-air (OTA) and web download service being launched this May, you will be able to access up to 5 million tracks to maximise your music collection. The W980’s TrackID™ feature, which can identify any track that you just can’t put a name to, will be fully integrated into PlayNow™ arena. This makes the W980 a genuine gateway to great music, as you can download the track instantly once it has been identified.

Semua Walkman lewat... minggir jauh-jauh...
Tapi : hanya jika menggunakan stereo headset apa saja, baik HPM-70, HPM-75, HPM-77, ataupun stereo bluetooth headset.
Confirmed : No MegaBass, tapi diganti dengan Clear Bass yang ada di setiap preset Equalizer (Natural, Easy, Jazz, dll.)
Nendang banget... ampun DJ deh....

Tapi... kalo didengerin pake built in speakernya sih... C902 masih bisa tertawa lepas... hahaha... : D

Kelebihan : built-in speakernya ada di samping (kiri dan kanan) jadi mau naruh hape menghadap ke bagian depan atau belakang gak jadi mendem suaranya... beda kalo yang speakernya di belakang kan ketutup tuh speakernya kalo diletakin di meja.

Kamera? Hehehe.... jadul abis man, gak tega bilangnya.

Kemaren akhirnya istri gue beli setelah nunggu tiap hari nggak keluar2..
mengenai design ya tentunya subyektif.. tapi menurut gue sih not bad lah.. lebih kecil dari yang gue kira.. belum sempet gue kutak katik karena nggak mau lepas dari tangan istri gue.. hehehe
yang pasti kalau emang kriteria nomor satunya adalah music, ya nggak nyesel beli ini.. suaranya GOKIL..
Apa mungkin karena HPM 77 pas bgt ama kuping gue ya? suaranya gila banget.. gue sekarang masih pake W910, sebelumnya W880, sebelumnya W850, dst.. kalau dibandingin ya, nggak bisa dibandingin.. terlalu jauh.. tadinya "eh lucu ada telpon bisa dengerin musik..". kalau sekarang soundnya udah nggak lucu, udah serius.. Ampe Joker aja bilang "why so serious??? (nggak lucu ya?, yg penting gue usaha).. anyway, suaranya clear abis.. yang pasti iPod sih putus (pake earphone standard ya.. jangan pake UE Super.fi 5pro hehehe).. EQ nya bukan cuma gimmick, setelan2 preset-nya aja bener2 bisa emphasize genre music yang dimainin.. Walkman interface (or must I say "outerface", karena maksud gue pas keadaan tertutup) sangat convenient, no nonsense..
FM transmitter-nya belum gue coba, tapi gue pesimistis, karena jaman dulu gue pake iGriffin FM transmitter yg dicolokin ke iPod gak bisa ditangkep jernih sama Radio mobil gue karena stasiun Radio di Jakarta terlalu banyak!.. hampir setiap beda 1 Mhz udah ada stasiun radio lain.. jadinya tabrakan.. moga2 yg ini nggak..
Tanpa bermaksud mencari ribut, gue cuma bilang bahwa Gue menganut aliran anti Steve Jobs (CEO apple Inc.), gue Sony addict yang menganggap keluarga Apple itu "gede gaya".. makanya gue seneng banget akhirnya ada product SE yang ngalahin product Apple di katagori suara... Peace..

Ternyata cukup kecil dan ringan untuk hape clamshell dengan memory internal 8 GB.
Lebih kecil, lebih tipis dan lebih ringan dari Z610 lho...

Oya, sewaktu connect ke komputer W980 hanya punya 1 driver : Phone Memory. Berbeda dengan W950 yang dikenali sebagai 2 driver berbeda.

IMO, selama format digital untuk sound masih itu2 aja (amr, aac, aac+), kyknya blm butuh chipset khusus deh, CMIIW

suaranya bagus ya kayaknya,
clearbass kan sepertinya ada di walkmanplayer nya sony, kayak di punya gw yg noicecancelling, mungkin teknologi itu yg di adopsi sm ni hp, trus juga earphone nya yg superb kategori.
