Kalau dilihat dari gambar di atas, yang bisa gw simpulkan adalah sebagai berikut :

1. Mulai tahun 2010, OS proprietary akan dikurangi dan Open OS akan diperbanyak
2. Open OS yang akan digunakan ada 3 : Windows Mobile, Android dan Symbian Foundation
3. Mulai tahun 2010 semua(?) handphone SE akan berupa touchscreen

OOT : SE akan "bertahan hidup" hanya sampai tahun 2012? Hehehe... becanda ding!

Sony Ericsson to announce Eco Phones on 4th of June

Some time ago Sony Ericsson said they would learn from the development of their GreenHeart concept mobile phone in future devices, and now according to a report on cellpassion, Sony Ericsson has stated they will announce mobile handsets on the 4th of June.

This means that Sony Ericsson will be announcing a few greener handsets on the 4th which will probably have charger that waste very little power, eco-friendly housing, electronic manuals, super efficient green packaging and no doubt other tech.

The announcement is expected at 1:00PM UK time via webcast on Thursday when we will find out what Sony Ericsson has in store.

Sony Ericsson Pocket TV; exclusive weekly entertainment show

Kicking off on June 4th 2009, Sony Ericsson's new Pocket TV weekly music and entertainment show will start a 13-week series. The made for mobile sow can be watched on any mobile handset or online via a dedicated YouTube channel.

Sony Ericsson's Pocket TV will be hosted by hot new talent Matt Edmondson, with help from a number of roving reporters. Shows will feature irreverent, humorous and enlightening interviews with artists and bands, live sessions as well as behind the scenes features.

The line-up for episode one includes Brit Award winner Florence and the Machine back at art college, MOBO award winning number one hip hop group N-Dubz being grilled up close, and much hyped American vegans Hockey will be performing an acoustic set in a greasy spoon café in front of the locals.

Subsequent shows are set to feature appearances from the likes of Mika, The Gossip, Maximo Park, Jordin Sparks and Marilyn Manson, to name but a few.

As well as music, Sony Ericsson’s Pocket TV will cover entertainment and youth culture, whether it’s comedy, fashion or film - but with its own unique point of view.

The show will also feature contributions from Citizen Journalists, handpicked from video entries posted by viewers on the YouTube channel. Sony Ericsson’s Pocket TV will be free to download each week in five 90-second segments, to any handset through a dedicated WAP site ([tautan dihapus]). It will also be available to watch in extended three minute clips or a 15min show via a dedicated YouTube channel at [tautan dihapus]

Viewers can follow PocketTVshow on twitter or become fans of the PocketTVshow group on facebook for behind the scenes news, tips on forthcoming guests and photos from the set.

Baru saja diumumkan hari ini, 2 ponsel baru dalam jajaran seri baru : GreenHeart, khusus untuk handphone2 yang ramah lingkungan. Casingnya 50% dibuat dari bahan daur ulang, packaging dibuat dari bahan daur ulang dan ukuran seminimal mungkin, manual tidak berupa kertas tapi file elektronik di dalam handphone-nya.

Menurut kabar, mulai announcement Entertainment Unlimited tanggal 28 Mei lalu, ke depannya Sony Ericsson akan menggunakan memory card jenis microSD sebagai standar, tidak lagi menggunakan memori jenis M2.

Xperia X2 (Vulcan) akan menggunakan OS Windows Mobile 6.5

Good news juga.
Pada bulan Februari lalu, Sony Ericsson (bersama sekitar 16 perusahaan lain kalo gak salah) sudah menandatangani kesepekatan penggunaan universal charger, jadi tunggu aja tanggal mainnya, nantinya SE pasti akan meninggalkan fastport untuk beralih ke USB charger.

Btw, kayaknya proto GreenHeart yg lama kayaknya lebih bagus dari Naite + C901 GreenHeart deh
