The C905 photos can be geotagged thanks to the built-in GPS receiver. The accelerometer will allow for screen auto rotation when you go through your camera album. It's also got a TV-out port for watching your images on the TV.

The Sony Ericsson C905 is also armed with a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display with scratch-resistant mineral glass cover. It's the first Sony Ericsson feature phone to feature Wi-Fi support - and there's even more. The Wi-Fi feature supports DLNA, which is basically a wireless media sharing protocol that runs on top of Wi-Fi. Nokia N96 has it too by the way.

The Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-shot is somewhere in the line of 104 x 49 x 18 (or 19.5) millimetres and weighs good 136 grams. It'll be available in Copper Gold, Ice Silver & Night Black in early Q4 2008 with a bundled 2 GB Memory Stick Micro M2.

Connectivity wise, it comes in three variants, two with full support for UMTS and HSDPA for the respective regions (yes, the Americas too). The battery is good for 380 hours of standby or 9 hours of talk on GSM networks, or 360 hours of standby or 4 hours of talk on 3G networks.

C905 kayaknya menjanjikan kalo diliat dari fitur yang ditawarin (Wifi...mantap dlsb).
Cuman gue jadi agak ragu karena ini adalah HP SE pertama dengan 8,1 MP. Pengalaman K850, yang 5MP pertamanya SE, ancur-ancuran.

Kalo dari selera pribadi, sayang banget slider, formfactor yang paling ga gue suka. Sama satu lagi: FASTPORT-nya disamping ....duh....

jgn negatif thinking dulu, SE dulu 1.3mp, 2mp. sama 3mp sukses kok walau paling pertama punya.

On June 17, 2008, Sony Ericsson announced the new C905 Cyber-shot phone – a feature-rich, slider-style phone with an 8.1 megapixel camera. The C905 is the first phone to support Sony Ericsson’s Project Capuchin API and takes the number of phones supporting Sony Ericsson’s Java Platform 8 [JP-8] and the Mobile Services Architecture [MSA] umbrella standard [JSR 248] to 15.

C905 features in more detail

The C905 Cyber-shot is Sony Ericsson’s first Cyber-shot slider-style phone and its most advanced camera phone yet. In addition to the 8.1 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and autofocus, supportive features include Smart contrast, Face detection, BestPic, PictBridge printing, horizontal camera UI and illuminated icons for settings shortcuts. Sharing photos and videos is enabled through HSDPA network speeds, Wi-Fi, a DLNA [Digital Living Network Alliance] server to connect to compatible devices and the new Sony Ericsson TV-Out Cable ITC-60.

The C905 also has embedded GPS and aGPS support, 160MB internal memory, removable external storage with Memory Stick Micro and a 320×240 pixel 262K TFT QVGA display.

The C905 will be available in selected markets during Q4 2008.

Mobile Services Architecture [MSA] in 15 phone series

The announcement of the new C905 means that MSA full set can now be found in 15 Sony Ericsson phone series. All JP-8 phones are based on MIDP 2.1 and have the same core JSR set based on the Java umbrella standard MSA [JSR 248].

Java Platform 8, new JP-8.4 sub-category

Sony Ericsson’s Java Platform 8 [JP-8] phones are organized in three sub-categories – JP-8 [8.0-8.2], JP-8 [8.3] and JP-8 [8.4]. There are currently 15 JP-8 phone series and JP-8.3 represents a sub-group of six phones with some additional functionality supported by the Content Handler API [JSR 211] and Mobile Sensor API [JSR 256]. JP-8.4 is differentiated by including the Project Capuchin API and the new C905 Cyber-shot is the first phone to support JP-8.4.

Project Capuchin
Sony Ericsson’s Project Capuchin technology is a Java ME API and associated tools that define a bridge between the Java ME and Adobe Flash Lite programming environments.

This API and soon-to-be-available tools makes it possible to use Flash as the presentation layer and Java as the application logic, meaning that Flash tools can be used for UI design while still having access to all the phone services available to Java ME.

The tool packages the Flash content together with the Java application logic into a Java Archive, JAR file, hence allowing the resulting application and package to be treated and managed as a Java application re-using all of the existing Java infrastructure available on the phone and provisioning backend. ga bisa buat motret lah. dimana di WPnya yang tulis bisa buat motret? itu kan cuma pilihan resolusi pas videocall V-call mah ga perlu terlalu gede. VGA malah bikin berat. pengalaman gw videocall di K800 lancar banget, smooth. di nokai malah patah2 & lambat gara2 resolusinya VGA. tmn2 gw juga bilang gitu

Hmm..., moga2 mengulang sukses K800 dhe, 3,2mp dengan video recording ancient, tapi tetep aja laku dan hasil memuaskan.

"Bata" itu merk dari Swedia kalo gak salah. Tapi di Indonesia kesannya kaya udah jadi merk lokal karena namanya mirip dengan salah satu kata dalam bahasa Indonesia dan kebetulan marketingnya bagus juga sih bisa menanamkan image seperti produk lokal, hehehe....

Jadi inget jaman dulu waktu SD-SMP, favorit banget sama seri Bubble Gummers dari Bata.

kok kilauan lampunya agak2 aneh ya??

sebenernya warna2 fotonya msh kaya k850 tuh. agak2 ada bayangan kuning yg rada mengganggu. lalu warna biru langitnya itu bener2 ngingetin sm hasil foto k850, yg menurut gue, aneh. hrsnya untuk ukuran 8MP ky gini, soal warna lbh dibgsin. tp kok gue pesimis bkl ada perubahan yg berarti.

hasil indoor nya pas full size pernah liat beberapa kali di esato dan kt gue sih, jelek. lg2 noise reduction-nya mengganggu.

tapi lumayan lah, setidaknya hasil fotonya walopun masih proto dah cukup tajem, gak kelihatan pudar ato berkabut gitu...
