The new G700 and G900 phones are designed to give back time. They place personal organiser features and easy finger-touch control within familiar form factors.

Calendar is King

Access your calendar, reach family and friends and scribble and save your notes on your phone. Meskipun sama2 menggunakan UIQ3 seperti P1 (dan kawan2nya), G900 punya interface yang agak lain: UIQ 3 yang dikembangkan agar lebih mendukung sentuhan dengan jari, juga gabungan antara UIQ3 dengan A200.

Home screennya secara default berbeda dengan generasi P1 dan sebelumnya.

Di tampilan home screen di bagian bawah ada yang namanya panel.
Di bagian tengah ada Main Menu yang kalau kita masuk ke dalamnya bakal ada tampilan yang mirip flash theme di A200. Bukan flash theme sih, cuma mirip aja. Di sini ada 3x3 menu iconic: Organizer, Internet, Entertainment, Camera, Messaing, Media, Calls, Contacts, Setting.
Kenapa Media gw tebelin? Karena tampilannya persis kaya yang ada di hape A200: PSP Style. Gak ada accelerometer, jadi tampilannya harus diset manual mau portrait atau landscape.
System information (cek firmware) adanya di bagian Main Menu ini (dengan menekan More), bukan di standby screen seperti P1 dan sebelumnya.

Geser ke kanan sekali, ada My Shortcut. Kita bisa nempatin 9 shortcut favorit di sini.

Geser ke kanan sekali lagi, ada Favorite Contacts. Kita bisa nempatin beberapa contatcs favorit di sini, lengkap dengan jenis komunikasi yang bisa dijadikan default. Jadi kalo kita sering SMS ke 1 contact tertentu, letakkan aja di sini dengan communication method SMS.
Jumlah yang bisa diletakkan di sini belum ketahuan, barusan ngetest sampai lebih dari 10 masih bisa nambag.

Geser ke kiri sekali : create new SMS (mirip di A100 atau A200).

Geser ke kiri sekali lagi : Calendar/Appointment.

Itu 5 panel default. Kita masih bisa menambahkan 7 panel lagi di sini.

Catatan : Untuk memilih panel-panel tersebut kita gerakan menggunakan d-pad, dan setelah masuk ke salah satu panel, akan muncul menu2 dengan icon yang berukuran besar yang dapat disentuh cukup dengan jari/jempol, gak perlu stylus.

Kalo kita gerakan d-pad ke bawah, maka akan otomatis masuk ke menu Contacts (mirip A100/A200).

Gerakan d-pad ke atas akan otomatis masuk ke Main Menu.

Di sebelah kiri d-pad ada tombol shortcut ke aplikasi unik yang namanya Notes yang punya julukan Note It.
Tahu Post It kan?
Nah, Note It ini tampilannya warna-warni mirip Post It.
Keren dan unik, karena Notes tertampil seperti kertas2 post it warna-warni di layar, semacam thumbnail, yang bisa dibikin fullscreen dengan cara menekan OK di salah satu Notes yang pernah kita buat.
Setiap Notes bisa dikasih warna berbeda dan juga dikasih Alarm sebagai peringatan. Keren kan?

Di sebelah kiri d-pad ada tombol shortcut ke Messaging. Tampilan dan isinya persis sama kaya Messaging di UIQ3 lainnya.

Ada apa aja di menu Entertainment?
Ada : PlayNow, TrackID, FM Radio, Video Phone, RSS Feeds, MusicDJ, Sound Recorder, Sudoku dan Demo.

Ada apa di menu Setting?
Susunan settingnya agak berbeda dengan UIQ3 sebelumnya. Di G900 dibagi menjadi (lagi-lagi mirip A100/A200, hanya tampilannya yang beda) :

- Calls
- Connectivity
- Messaging
- Security

Catatan:
Homescreen bisa diubah menjadi sama seperti yang ada di P1 dengan cara mengubah standby application di menu Display (pilih: Business).

Di menu General ada yang namanya Payment Transactions. Gak bisa nyoba.

Boss yang payment transaction, aku punya gak jalan.

Setelah dipilih, kosong melongo gitu, bukan berarti rusak loh..:D

Ok, aku mencoba review dari net, atau koneksinya. mengingat Kata G artinya Genereation Web.

Overall conecction terdiri dari bluetooth, Wlan, dan USB.

Bluetooth.

Dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan cepat. Mungkin tidak perlu pembahasan lebih detai tentang bluetooth.

Wlan dan GPRS.

Ok, inilah salah satu fitur yang juga membedakan dengan G 700.

Walapun sepintas ini bukan 3,5 G alias HSPDA.

Aku sudah melakukan uji coba test dengan Nokia N95 punya dedeku.

Lokasi sama2 dekat dengan hotspot.

Hasil uji coba ternyata speednya G900 cukup mengejutkan bisa mengikutin dan menandingin N95. Sedangkan P1i dulu kalah jauh alias lelet.

Surf Internetnya serta download aplikasi yang kulakukan pas midnight, berada sekitar 1 meter dari hotspot cukup memuaskan speednya.

Over all walaupun dikatakan G900 cuman didukung UMTS 2100. Nih Hp bandel juga dalam dunia maya.

Sedangkan USB,

Aku belum mencobanya. softwarenya membutuhkan SP 3, sedangkam kompiku belum ada.

Mohon review dari yang teman2 lain yang sudah mencobanya

G900 ini Wifi nya b sama g kan..? gak kayak P1 yang cuma b..

Mar, di Oke Shop, pertengahan bulan , G 900 sudah bisa dicicil selama 6 bulan, tanpa dikenai charge sama sekali.

Ikutan beli juga deh tadi sore,warna merah juga,nampaknya semuanya pada demen warna merah ya.Mao post hasil foto G900,tapi ga tau deh caranya gimana.
Jadi bingung mao review apa,habis semuanya dah diborong ma bro TRO hehehe

Ntar gw upload deh hasilnya, di-compare sama K850. Udah ada beberapa nih... tapi karena gw baru nyampe rumah, gw mau mandi dulu...
