Motorola has just announced its first Android phone (initially running v1.5), the Motorola CLIQ for T-Mobile. What’s wonderful about it, however, is that it will be powered by Motorola’s personalized Android interface, called MOTOBLUR. So, what makes MOTOBLUR special? It is going to sync almost every way of communication you may think of – email, social networks, contacts, photos and serve it directly at the homescreen of your device.

It seems most of the action will be accessed through highly-functional widgets, like the Social status widget that will grant you some good possibility to communicate on a more global level, say, you can update your status from here, and this update will be applied to all your social network accounts. Of course, you can choose to update only individual networks. Other such widget will be the Happenings widget – allowing you to track updates from all your contacts and easily reply to each one. The Messages widget will act similarly to the Social status widget, but will instead provide you with access to all your messages in an aggregated view.

Oh, did we forget to mention the online wipe function, letting you protect your personal data, in case your handset has been stolen? This kind of functionality seems to be getting pretty popular right now. The good news is your important data like contacts, messages and even the places of your widgets will be kept on a secure server, so you'll be able to easily restore your stuff once you get your phone back.

So, what will the Motorola CLIQ actually look like, in terms of hardware? Seems like the manufacturer has taken care to include nowadays must-haves for a smartphone like Wi-Fi, 3G, 3.5mm jack and even a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, capable of capturing videos at 24 fps. The display will be 3.1-inch with 320x480 pixels resolution. Fortunately, the side-sliding CLIQ will also be distributed globally, going by the name of Motorola DEXT for carriers like Orange, Telefonica and America Movil. The phone should be available in time for the holidays! What’s even better, Moto’s CEO, Dr. Sanjay K. Jha, said they will be announcing a second phone a bit later in the year that will be available in time for the holiday season as well!

bro MotoZine,
emang CLIQ udah pasti masuk indonesia?
wah... siap2 nabung nih, hehehehe

ato nunggu Milestone sekalian?

Sekali semua tergantung Motorola Indonesia.

:: Berita Teknologi ::

Motorola Cliq harga resmi di Motorola Store seharga US$499.99.

sama2 android sama2 social networking integrated sama2 form factor sliding qwerty

Android 1.5 cuma support 65k warna ya?
CLIQ sendiri support brp? 262k?

yup, Android 1.6 ke bawah cuma support 65k, tapi CLIQ/DEXT secara hardware up to 262k
