Motorola has officially unveiled its upcoming Smartphone devices at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes France. The device we were referring to as the MPx300 turns out to be called simply the Motorola MPx. The MPx looks to be a very different type of phone that offers the user a horizontal or vertical alignment when being used and will include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Tri-band GSM/GPRS, SD slot, 320x240 2.8 inch screen, 1.3 MP integrated camera and a QWERTY layout keyboard. We hear it might also come equipped with a built in hand/hair dryer to squelch any perception there was a feature left out.

The Motorola MPx will come with 64MB of built in RAM and the SD slot will offer up to 1GB of storage expansion and will run the Microsoft Pocket PC Phone Edition OS. As you can see from these pictures, the device isn't exactly tiny and is more on par in size with the XDA Phone devices on the market, but this thing literally come with just about every feature you'd need. It will be interesting to see how the keyboard rates, it looks like it could take some getting used to.

The MPx100 should fill the niche for the smaller type device Smartphones that people want.

Kayaknya sih cuma main2 deh. Maksudnya mungkin mau mengatakan bahwa feature ponsel ini benar2 komplit, dan utk mempertegasnya dipakai gaya bahasa hiperbolik (kalo nggak salah, soalnya lulus SMA udah 20 th yg lalu, udah banyak yg lupa ).

Fitur yang laen sebenarnya biasa aja. Maksud saya, udah gak ajaib karena device lain udah make.
Saya justru takjub dengan ide mereka membuat dua macem bukaan seperti itu. Ide yang cemerlang dan mereka ternyata bisa menerapkannya dengan baik.
Tapi kira-kira mempengaruhi kekuatan ponsel ini gak ya? Soalnya sambungan yang tetap kan cuma di satu sudut aja.

Motorola Gives New Information on MPx

Without a doubt, the biggest news from the 3GSM World Congress last month was the Motorola MPx, an upcoming cellular-wireless Pocket PC in a never-before-seen form factor.

Though Motorola announced this model a few weeks ago, it didn't release all the details about it. The company just gave some more information on this handheld at the CeBIT tradeshow, though some facts still remain unknown even now.

It's going to be 3.9 inches long, 2.4 inches wide, and .95 inches thick (99.7 x 61.2 x 24 mm). It will weigh 6.15 ounces (174 g).

With its dual hinges, the MPx will take advantage of the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition's
ability to switch on the fly between portrait and landscape modes, but its display will be at the standard resolution of 240 by 320 pixels. The MPx's screen is going to be 2.8 inches, which well below what many Pocket PC users are accustomed to.

As well as both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the MPx will be able to connect to GSM/GPRS wireless networks for voice and data. It will support 900/1800/1900 MHz, which is bad news for Americans, many of whom depend on 850 MHz for good connections.

According to Motorola, this cellular-wireless device's battery is good for either 180 minutes of talk time or 140 hours of stand-by time.

In Europe, it will cost 749 euros, which converts to about $930 U.S. Of course, this is the cost before any subsidy from a wireless carrier.

Despite this second announcement, the MPx's processor and amount of RAM are not yet known.

Motorola is expected to release this device sometime around the middle of this year.

Setelah berpikir panjang2 dan bergumul sendirian... gue memutuskan untuk beli xda2 ajah deh.. heuaheua..

soalnya kebutuhan utama gue bukan teleponnya.. tetapi pc-nya.. kalo diliat dari fungsi utamanya, xda2 itu kan pc.. tapi kalo mpx itu kan telefon.. malah tadinya dihadapkan dengan 3 pilihan, antara xda2 ape mpx ape n9500..
