The Nokia N9 (N900’s Big Brother- figuratively)

It's been a while since we got access to a fresh proto like this guys. Sorry to have to keep you all in suspense, but we are going to do a full write up with video of this bad boy in the next day or so. We didn’t want to leave you completely out of the loop, so here are some “teaser” images of the Baddest Nokia Device known to man! Oh, before I forget – YES it does have North American 3G (850/1900)!! Come back soon for the “rest of the story”!

QWERTY-enabled Nokia N9 surfaces, runs on Symbian^3

We have just been treated to several live shots of what seems to be the yet unannounced Nokia N9. The Symbian^3-powered smartphone with a tilting slide-out QWERTY keyboard packs an 8 megapixel autofocus camera and it has already been leaked once before.

Unfortunately, the Nokia N9 doesn’t share the xenon flash of its N8 sibling, but goes for a modest dual-LED unit instead. There is also no confirmation yet if the N9 can do HD video.

While the source is unable to provide any further specs about what seems to be the Nokia new smartphone flagship, it seems that Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G with HSDPA are pretty safe bets. A 3.5” screen with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels is also pretty much certain.

The guys who posted the photos of the prototype, promise to review it thoroughly in the following days so we should learn more about the device soon.

This leak is somewhat surprising, given that Nokia made an official statement that the N8 will be the last Symbian-running member of the Nseries. We guess that there is still a good chance that the prototype will not go by N9 but will join the Eseries instead.

yupp dengar2 info sih begitu seri N akan dipasang meego, malah katanya N8 seri symbian terakhir,,,,, btw nasib maemo gmana yah???kyk n900 Apa terhenti ditengah jalan,,,

MaeMo juga akan dihentikan karena MaeMo sendiri kan ada di MeeGo tapi mudah2an dukungan firmware atas MaeMo khususnya N900 tidak berhenti begitu saja.

Dukungan driver sama low levelnya kan.
Kalau firmware (OS) menurut di [tautan dihapus] punya, karena MeeGo itu open source, bisa dibikin paketnya oleh komunitas, yang pasti Nokia bilang ngedukung tapi kayaknya udah cuci tangan dan ambil sikap “gua nggak bakal nuntut hak cipta, tapi urusan loe orang aja, kite gak ikutan tanggung jawab”

BTW, resolusi layar turun daripada N900 ya ?

MeeGo emang belum terkenal kok wong hp yg pakai OS ini aja belum ada...

MeeGo adalah OS terbaru yg akan segera muncul yg merupakan kerja sama dari Nokia dan Intel.

bro maksudnya maemo ada di meego gmana? btw worthed ga beli n900?atau menunggu meego aja? takutnya apps nya maemo mati ditengah jln pula gw dah cek apps y tersedia di ovi sedikit bgt, ga compatible java pula

MeeGo itu adalah evolusi dari Maemo. Di dalam MeeGo terdapat source code Maemo itu sendiri.

Kalau saran saya sih mending tunggu MeeGo aja.

btw, di video N9 ini keliatannya ada HDMI, kameranya 8mpx lagi. kalo bener Eseries keren bgt dah apa mungkin masuk Xseries?

N9 kan belum jadi nama pasti... Untuk sekarang msh berpegang saja pada kata2 juru bicara Nokia. Dan ada berita baru soal N9

Bukannya memang sudah kelakuan Nokia dari dulu kalo bikin hp selalu banyak sekaligus...??
