Dan menurut berita di bawah ini, mulai tahun depan Samsung gak akan bikin smartphone dengan sistem operasi Symbian lagi.
Android dan Windows Mobile masih dipertahankan, dan mulai memperkenalkan OS open platform baru yang dikembangkan oleh Samsung sendiri: Bada.

Samsung officially confirmed the refusal of Symbian in the next year

Symbian sudah harus berbenah diri nih... Jangan arogan terus karena selalu dianggap UI yg paling user friendly

Kalo UI-nya nggak dipercantik dan terus2an maksain posisi maka bakal jatuh...

Dengan adanya sekian banyak OS, pertanyaannya adalah : OS yg mana yg lebih disukai oleh para developer software ?
Mau sebagus apapun OS nya, bakalan susah dilirik konsumen kalau software aplikasinya langka banget.

Dengan adanya banyak OS, maka akan meruntuhkan dominasi symbian sebagai OS no#1
jadi makin fair
tapi pertanyaannya adalah : apakah OS bada ini terbuka untuk applikasi pihak ketiga ?
belajar dari pengalaman masa lalu : banyak OS yg gagal dan runtuh karena tidak bersahabat dengan pihak developer (pihak ke#3)

Symbian bisa berjaya karena dia open OS dan welcome terhadap developer untuk pengembangan applikasi

wah semua os hp bergeser ke open source.., hebat, tinggal os komputer aja yang masih tertatih2, ayo berjuang open source...
