The Samsung S3650 Corby just got official and it's dressed to impress with its Fashion Jackets and ready for a night out, partying in social networks. With a price tag of 150 euro and attractive design, Corby aims to be affordable and appealing to the young audience.

The basic specs are reminiscent of the Samsung S5230 Star, but Corby maintains its own identity very well. Starting off with the physical dimension of the S3650, it's 103 x 56.5 x 12.0 mm big and weighs 93 grams. Packed in that compact shell are a 2.8" QVGA capacitive touchscreen (yes, capacitive) and a 2-megapixel camera

MP3 player, microSD card slot for cards up to 8GB and a FM radio with RDS keep the S3650 rocking, and the WMV support is a really nice touch. A USB port and Bluetooth 2.1 will aid in loading up the phone with music from your computer, but unfortunately, the USB port is the proprietary Samsung one.

The Samsung S3650 is a globetrotter with its quad-band GSM and EDGE support, thought it's not the speediest one - it's 2G only. The 960-mAh battery should give it good standby and talk time numbers though nothing official was quoted.

On the social side, Samsung Corby offers Facebook, MySpace and Twitter integration and the list goes on. YouTube, Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket are Corby's playground as well. You can update your status on the various social networking sites and receive updates from your friends via a simple pop-up notification feature.

The Samsung S3650 also incorporates a lot of the know-how that went into the likes of the Samsung Jet, like one finger zoom, smart unlock and as with any recent touch-based phone from Samsung - TouchWiz user interface and a great deal of widgets. It also offers something called Cartoon UI, which is described as "a highly stylised graphical menu and wallpaper that adapts according to handset functionality".

One of the main things that Samsung hopes will attract people to the Corby (aside from its bargain price point) is the interchangeable back covers. The S3650 is available in bright colors, Jamaican Yellow, Cupid Pink, Minimal White, and Festival Orange (with more to come in the future), but can get fancy too. Included in the box will be two additional back covers - the Fashion Jackets.

Corby's front is black, and it's the back that receives the vivid color treatment. One of the Fashion Jackets is black, making the entire phone black (and black is elegant, right?), while the other one is more interesting - a unique pattern design color.

The Samsung S3650 Corby will be available in Europe from mid-September for about 150 euro (215 US dollars). No word on its availability outside Europe just yet.

kalo C6625 bukan TS yah...hmm hrg beda dikit tp C6625 jauh lbh canggih krn udah HSDPA + A-GPS, lucu seh tp terlalu ABG neh..gw dah tuwe mesti yg classy hahaha..

kalo lagi FaceCall ada incoming call gak bunyi bro, kalo kita lagi pura2 terima tlp, ya ada nada spt tlp mau masuk, biasa cuma bunyi beep....eh tuut... ya gitu deh

Liat di TV acara komedi apa ya, lagi pura2 terima tlp...eh pas tuh hp di tlp lagi seolah2 bicara...beneran bunyi tuh tlp krn ada beneran incoming call.....hahaha selain budek jadi ketahuan...

Di C6625 kalo lagi telp beneran trus ada sms masuk, bunyinya juga keras banget. Bikin budeg..

Corby TS ini perlu screen protector gk?...kan klu PDA winmo yg ber stylus biasanya pake.

tergantung yg make....hehehehe, g dari beli baru Omnia pake 5 bulanan deh, gak pake screen potector tuh...fine2 aja sampe di jual tetep mulus :P

Harusnya sih Hp2 sekarang gak pake S-P udah cukup kuat , malah g bingung....punya Hp CDMA Smart Haier D1200P , udah 1 thn, gak pake anti gores, penanganan jg agak asal, (lha cuma utk modem) , taro di tas campur aduk sama printilan2, taro di kantong jeans....nah tetep mulus tuh layar.....heran bin ajab,,,,,kadang yg merk spt SE, Nokia malah udah gores2 kali....hehehe

Tapi lebih baik sih pakein aja boss, tp yg bagusan (hehehe biasa sih agak mahal)

Emang lbh baik pake aja,kek nya gak terlalu ngaruh sama sensinya.toh jgn tll tebel

keknya gak perlu deh, karena pas beli, udah dikasih SP bawaan
jadi lumayan ngemat 20-40rb, hehehehe

hasil kamera cukup bagus di kondisi cahaya cukup
tapi kalo foto didalem kamar, make lampu, agak banyak noisenya
entar gw posting hasil kameranya deh

oia, gw bandingin X1 gw (yg resistive) sama corby gw (yg capasitive), entah kenapa lebih enakan corby mencet layarnya
apa karena beda merk, jadi gak bisa dibandingin ya ?

gw sih belom pernah coba iphone sama htc
tapi layar capasitivenya corby udah mantab kok (gw kasih jempol 4 ) dengan alasan :
1. Sensitif : cuma tinggal disentuh aja udah respons, gak perlu diteken layarnya ato dipas-pasin segala di layar (yg bikin lama) kyk di layar resistive (ini pengalaman make layar resisitve X1 gw).
2. Corby memiliki 3 halaman menu (kyk iphone ya kalo gak salah), jadi untuk menggesernya tinggal sentuh layar, lalu tarik ke kiri dan ke kanan, langsung deh dia bergeser, enak banget dan mudah.

Kayaknya menurut gw sudah memenuhi spek sebagai hape touch dan capasitive deh.
Mungkin setara lah sam iphone
Maksudnya kualitasnya dibawah iphone dr segi apa ya ?

Dr segi fitur nya gan.jauh bet.lah wong iphone 3GS harga 10 jtan dibandingin sama hape yg krg dr 2 jt.ya,jauh lah...heheehehehe....tp nie CORBY TS worth to buy..

kalo dibandingi ama iPhone yang pertama (bukan 3g/3gs) gimana?
kalo ga salah dah dibawah 5jt, cmiiw
tetep aja bedanya lumayan yah?
selain beda luas layar, wifi, os, sensor gerak
pengen ni beli corby,
secara hape tetangga sudah qwerty semua
bosen liatnya, pengen tampil beda, pake corby atau star

kalo layar resistive...tergantung jg sih hp-nya, tp utk sensitifitas nya gak kalah sama capasitive koq, dlm arti utk cuma meng klik layar or tab layar....nah yg membedakan kalo ada gerakan spt menyapu layar...baik dari atas ke bawah, kiri ke kanan dan sebaliknya...capsitive lebih baik , spt iPhone 2G...lah pertama kan itu, nah iPhone masih the best sampe saat ini utk urusan itu, tp Hp2 lain yg full touch screen jg udah gak kalah jauh sama iphone, termasuk yg masih resistive

Capasitive yg lain setau sy baru LG Arena, tentu sekarang ini Corby, tp kedepannya udah lebih banyak...oya HTC Magic dan Hero juga udah Capasitive dgn Android OS, makannya di bilang Andorid murah HTC Tatoo....ternyata layar kembali ke Resistive.....so bersyukur Corby Capasitive tp murah walau paling gak fitur 3G aja di pangkas :P

mudah2an bisa gan....., kan katanya kelebihan android bisa ganti2 os android yg lain, jd misalnya kita pake HTC Magic....nah bisa ngerasain MotoDroid, or Xperia10...tanpa ganti Hp nya.....tp katanya or yg g denger lho......

Nie hape dah mengadapsi layar capacitive.gak bisa pake stylus or bahan lain selain jari kita utk mengoperasikannya. CORBY kabarnya gak punya virtual qwerty keypad. jadi cuma virtual keypad standar aja. sayang bgt!! padahal kalo ada qwerty lbh oke n punya nilai plus
