TFT :
A thin-film transistor (TFT) is a special kind of field-effect transistor made by depositing thin films of a semiconductor active layer as well as the dielectric layer and metallic contacts over a supporting substrate. A common substrate is glass, since the primary application of TFTs is in liquid crystal displays. This differs from the conventional transistor where the semiconductor material typically is the substrate, such as a silicon wafer.

The best known application of thin-film transistors is in TFT LCDs, an implementation of LCD technology. Transistors are embedded within the panel itself, reducing crosstalk between pixels and improving image stability.

As of 2008, all color LCD TVs and monitors use this technology. TFT panels are heavily used in digital radiography applications in general radiography. It is used in both direct and indirect capture as a base for the image receptor in medical radiography.

The new AMOLED (Active Matrix OLED) screens also contain a TFT layer.

The most beneficial aspect of TFT technology is a separate transistor for each pixel on the display. As each transistor is small, the amount of charges essential for controlling it also small. This allows for very fast re-drawing of the display.

OLED :
An Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED), also Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) and Organic Electro Luminescence (OEL), is any Light Emitting Diode (LED) whose emissive electroluminescent layer is composed of a film of organic compounds. The layer usually contains a polymer substance that allows suitable organic compounds to be deposited. They are deposited in rows and columns onto a flat carrier by a simple "printing" process. The resulting matrix of pixels can emit light of different colors.

Such systems can be used in television screens, computer displays, small, portable system screens such as cell phones and PDAs, advertising, information and indication. OLEDs can also be used in light sources for general space illumination, and large-area light-emitting elements. OLEDs typically emit less light per area than inorganic solid-state based LEDs which are usually designed for use as point-light sources.

A significant benefit of OLED displays over traditional liquid crystal displays (LCDs) is that OLEDs do not require a backlight to function. Thus they draw far less power and, when powered from a battery, can operate longer on the same charge. Because there is no need for a backlight, an OLED display can be much thinner than an LCD panel. Degradation of OLED materials has limited their use.

proximity itu kalo pas nelpon, lo deketin layar ke kuping dan pipi, layar otomatis ke-lock. jadi ga ada "virtual keys ga sengaja keteken oleh pipi". First, iPhone.

kemungkinan #1 : proto saat ini beneran make S60 5th. versi ritel pake SFOS.
kemungkinan #2 : proto udah pake SFOS beta. The open-source Symbian Foundation OS is being built upon Nokia's S60 user interface and the Symbian OS, and will look very much like the current Nokia S60 5th Edition that runs on the Nokia 5800 XpressMedia.
