Dilihat dari desain dan spec-nya, W715 ini adalah versi Walkman dari G705 yang lebih lengkap.
Kalo W705 tanpa GPS, maka W715 ini dilengkapi GPS sebagaimana halnya G705.

mending cancel aja sekalian. nanggung banget bikin 2 produk yg beda di Wifi doank dengan design yg sama. beda warna doank kan ya. gw lebih tertarik warna W715 sih

Hmm, ga juga sih. Justru menurut gue yang kalah saing itu G705.... (nelen ludah), berhubung hampir semua spec-nya sama dan model juga lebih bagusan W715 dikit (di bagian softkey).

Kalo W705 kan ga ada GPS-nya. Jadi anggap aja sebagai perluasan portfolio SE. Ya tentunya harus dipatok dengan harga yang cukup terasa ya bedanya sama W715....
Logikanya gini :
- Buat orang yang kritis : akan kebelah dua, bagi yang perlu GPS mungkin akan beli W715... sementara yang ngga perlu GPS akan beli W705
- Buat orang yang ga kritis : kalo harga W705 lebih murah, ya kenapa ga beli itu aja ? Apalagi modelnya mirip....

ups gw salah. kok beda di wifi. beda di GPS. hehe.

untung ga jadi beli G705 tapi kalo harga W715 ga cocok, ga jadi beli HP baru dah. lol

Gw pernah baca kalo ga salah kelebihan G705 di speed HSDPAnya deh.. dia udah 7.2mbps.. Ga seperti w705 yang cuma 3.6mpbs.. CMIIW

Mungkin karena seri G lebih ditonjolkan untuk konektifitasnya? Tapi untuk saat ini di Indo mungkin ga ngaruh kali ya.. Boro2 dapet speed segitu..

iya bener. gw cek di gsmarena emang G705 itu 7,2 MBPS maxnya. tapi di Indo, ga ngaruh. hehe

Yup. Di sini sih.... Jangankan HSDPA 7,2 mbps, 3G aja masih banyak yang ngga make...

Jadwal rilis W715 bersamaan dengan W705 : 27 Februari 2009.

Tapi bener juga W705 kayaknya bakal lebih laku.
Soalnya kan masih banyak orang ga pake GPS.
Apalagi kalo selisih harga antara W705 dan W715 sama kayak W830 dan W850 dulu( 1 jutaan, CMIIW).

klo menurut gw bro..selama harganya bedanya lumayan sih ga masalah deh W705 ama W715 dirilis barengan...tinggal pilihan org aja kan..butuh GPS atau engga..
persis kasus K800i ma K790i atau W830i ma W850i...
nah, klo gw berkaca dari dua kasus diatas...gw malah ngerasa kok W715 bakal lebih laku yah...secara org mikir pasti nanggung deh beli hape yg ada kurangnya..walaupun itu cuma GPS..hehehe
yang penting ni hape jgn mpe ngilang dipasaran aja kyk kasus Z770i ma Z780i..entah kemana tuh dua seri itu...

Z780 emang ga masuk Indo. Z770 yang emang kecepatan ilangnya. HP serba nanggung nih

kalau harga beda tipis, jelas ambil W715 aja (gw yah. Kalo ada duit ). Kalo harganya 3,5 ke atas sih mikir2 dulu.

Yup, kalo beda harga tipis sih emang nanggung beli W705 doang. Prediksi gue, awal-awal harga W705 akan sama dengan G705 (walkman umumnya dijual lebih mahal kan ?)... trus W715 dikasih harga 600 rb di atas W705 (tergantung paket juga sih). Tapi itu cuma prediksi orang awam. Hehehe...

Kayaknya untuk kasus k800 ma k790 ato w830 ma w850 beda deh.. Masalahnya untuk orang awam, videocall kayaknya fitur yang diunggulin.. Rata2 ngertinya 3G ya bisa video call itu.. bukannya kecepatan koneksi yang di atas Edge misalnya.. OOT dikit nih, gw pernah liat ada orang yang nyesel beli T700 gara2 menurut dia ga bisa 3G..

Sedangkan GPS rasanya buat orang awam belum terlalu dipake kali ya..

Tambah OT, kasus W850 & W830 dulu keluarnya jedanya rada lama tuh, kalo nggak salah setelah ampir setaonan W850 kluar, baru W830 kluar, jadi kayaknya tetep lebih banyak yg pake W850 ketimbang W830 tuh.

seingat gw setelah 830 keluar banyak yg beli itu kok. karena selisih harganya saat itu dengan W850 hampir sejuta. Sementara orang mikir2 ga bakal pake 3G (videocall ), yg penting punya "walkman" yg saat itu lagi panas2nya.

Bener jg ya.. Brarti strategi SE Indo ga salah ya.. Ngeluarin 830 blkgan eh trnyata laku jg ya.. Coba dkeluarin brg 850.. Bakal laku mana tuh..?

BTW, sekedar info aja.... dulu pas gue mau jual SE C702 gue... gue denger omongan yang sedikit bikin was-was sih...
Penjual : "Hmm, ini cuma kamera 3MP sama HSDPA ya... Mirip2 kayak K800...."
Gue : "Lho, bukan cuma itu doang. Kan ada GPS-nya."
Penjual : "Iya, tapi kan aplikasi GPS-nya musti install lagi. Repot."
(dalam hati gue dongkol juga. Mau susah mau gampang, hardwarenya kan ada di dalam situ. Masa mau dianggap ga ada ?)

Jadi, walaupun selisih harga belinya mungkin akan beda cukup jauh (antara W705 dan W715).... tapi pas dijual nanti mungkin hampir ga akan ada bedanya karena ga cukup banyak masyarakat Indo yang menghargai keberadaan sebuah built in GPS receiver di ponsel SE....
