LG GD910 is 13.9 mm thick and sports a 1.43-inch touch LCD screen. The main selling point of the device is that it allows for 3G video calls thanks to the front-facing camera.

Anyway behind the watch disguise you will also find HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity, voice dialing and speech recognition, text-to-speech feature and a music player.

LG Electronics chief technology officer paused mid-sentence, raised a hand and spoke to his wrist.

Paik Woo-hyun was taking a call on a slim black "smart phone" watch that is among the innovations the South Korean company is touting on the eve of a premier Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

"This is really something you'd expect to see James Bond wearing in a 007 movie," Paik said Wednesday after taking a wristwatch mobile phone call during a CES press conference. "It's the world's smallest watch phone."

The phone links to high-speed 3G networks and can be used for email and other online activities. It also serves as an MP3 player for digital music.

Oh, and it tells the time.

Paik says the mobile phone watches will be in production the later part of this year. The devices have 3.63-centimetre (1.43-inch) screens and are 13.9 millimeters (0.56 inches) thick.
