All, mo tanya lagi nih ... kalo hape yang udah ada GPS ready, dalam arti kita bisa langsung pake di hapenya tanpa perlu additional hardware / software itu yg
mana aja yah ? Soalnya lg butuh nih untuk jalan-jalan keliling jakarta n sekitarnya.

Sekalian mo tanya, kalo untuk layanan GPS gitu kita harus langganan / engga yah ? Ato tinggal pakai gratis aja seperti layaknya salah satu produk GPS semacam Garmin dkk gitu ? Thanks banyak yah sebelumnya ...

kalo nokia gitu bukannya musti punya GPS bluetoothnya gitu / gimana yah ? ato bisa cuman dengan hapenya aja t'rus bisa kita browse jalan2 seperti layaknya di GPS Garmin gitu ga yah ?

Fyi,
HP2 yang disebutkan di atas tidak ada yang menggunakan chipset GPS beneran, jadi hanya A-GPS, mengandalkan triangulasi BTS via jalur GPRS, sehingga bisa didapat lokasi penerima, sehingga harga HP bisa murah.

Kelemahannya dibanding GPS beneran
1. Harus ada signal GPRS/3G
2. Bayar koneksi internet
3. Lebih lambat

Keuntungan dibanding GPS beneran
1. Bisa dapat signal walaupun indoor/basement asalkan dalam cakupan GPRS/3G

HP2 yang menggunakan GPS beneran salah satunya Asus P320 - chipset sirfSTAR III. atau Tytn II kalo gak salah

A-GPS itu modul GPS "beneran" yang di-assist GPRS connection agar nge-lock satellitenya lebih cepet...

jadi A-GPS justru lebih bagus dari GPS biasa...

As an additional benefit, it can reduce both the amount of CPU and programming required for a GPS phone by offloading most of the work onto the assistance server. (This is not a large amount for a basic GPS – many early GPSs utilized Intel 80386-class 16MHz CPUs or similar hardware.)

A typical A-GPS-enabled cell phone will use an internet connection to contact the assistance server. Alternatively, it may use standard non-assisted GPS, which is slower and less accurate, but does not lead to network charges for data traffic, which can be considerable. Some A-GPS solutions do not have the option of falling back to conventional GPS.
