Sony Ericsson F305 is for Fun and Games

The Sony Ericsson F305 is Sony Ericsson’s first Motion Gaming-enabled phone. Or well, no, that’s actually not true, but it’s the first to go by that name in particular. It’s a quad-band GSM phone with support for EDGE network speeds.

This low/mid-level phone sports some rather cool gaming features. The three pre-loaded games - Bowling, Bass fishing & Jockey - will enable you to use movements to play the game. Say, you load up the bowling game - how do you play it? Simply imitate the movement of the bowling ball throw with the F305, and you’ll be playing the game. Simple, isn’t it? It’s a bit like the concept behind Nintendo Wii, although I find it hard to believe this will work just as great as the Wii does. Other than the special gaming features, the F305 offers a set of PlayStation-like gaming keys just above the display, as well as a shortcut key to your games. If you’re in the middle of a game, but the battery is running low (meaning you’ve played almost 8 hours!), you can quickly plug in the battery Power Pack CCP-100 (extra accessory), and you can play for hours again. That’s actually a rather clever accessory, and I hope it’ll be available for other phones, although there’s a chance that won’t happen.

F305 features loud stereo speakers on the back of it, making your gaming experience even better. If you feel like challenging a friend of yours in a match, you can do this via Bluetooth on some games.

F305 has got a decent music player capable of playing the most standard audio compression codecs, including the über-compressed eAAC+ codec. The phone memory is a bit limited though at only 10 megabytes, so you’ll have to expand the memory with a Memory Stick Micro card. Your music can then be transfered via a USB connection. You can stream your music wireless in stereo, as the phone features the Bluetooth A2DP profile. You can also have a listen to the radio with the built-in FM radio, and recognize the music playing with TrackID.

The display on the front of this Polar White or Mystic Black phone is a 2-inch large TFT display with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels, and up to 262.144 colours. While the resolution isn’t exactly excellent, it’ll make the rendering of 3D games quicker, and more games are available for phones of this screen resolution.

The F305 measures a good 96 x 47 x 14.6 millimetres, and weighs in at just 97.5 grams, making it a bit heavier than it actually looks. F305 will be out in selected markets in Q3 this year. We expect the price tag to be relatively low, considering this is a low/mid-end phone.

The F305 will be officially announced on Tuesday 17th.

Sony Ericsson Press Release :
Sony Ericsson makes its move with a brand new way to experience games on your mobile

17 June 2008

The new Sony Ericsson F305 with Motion Gaming puts ‘fun and entertainment’ at the heart of the mobile phone. In addition to horizontal gameplay and dedicated gaming controls – to let you control the action the way you are used to – the F305 lets the user control the action with a swing or a swipe of the phone.

Singapore, 17 June 2008 – Today’s announcement sees Sony Ericsson putting gaming at the heart of its latest phone release. Targeted firmly at a youth audience, the F305 with Motion Gaming lets users control games with the flick of a wrist or the swing of an arm, and then see the results straightaway on the screen. Using advanced motion sensor technology, the phone can, for example, follow your actions to imitate bowling or casting a fishing line.

With the F305 your favourite game is only one-click away. Enjoy the full gaming experience with stereo speakers, which also come in handy for sharing the latest track on the media player. Add a 2.0” screen into this pocket-sized slider phone and the F305 takes playing games on your mobile to a whole new level.

“Gaming is no longer something you do on your own. It’s about having fun with your friends and interacting with the game” says Sven Totté, Head of Product Marketing at Sony Ericsson. “We have used motion sensor technology before in our phones and integrating it into gameplay is a natural progression.”

To complement the F305 there is also now a handy new accessory available for the serious gamer. Although the F305 gives you up to 8 hours of gameplay, there is always now a back-up with the Power Pack CPP-100. Attach it to your keyring and when you need it, simply plug it into the phone to receive an instant battery power boost.

The F305 is about more than just gaming. Slide it open and find it packed with the latest Sony Ericsson features. Never miss a fun or unexpected moment with the phones 2.0 megapixel camera. Share your photos or music with friends via Bluetooth™ or Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™). It will also be possible to change the look of your phone with Style-up™ covers – two covers to choose from in box.

Polar White

Mystic Black

wah,,, kok gw jadi agak naksir yah ama hp ini

Buat yang naksir, gw tambahin photo2 lagi deh biar tambah naksir.

putih & item sama2 keren... tp kalo g pilih yg item.
tapi... keypadnya.... kayaknya jempol g kurang pas
bisa2 sering meleset waktu neken keypad-nya....

gw pilih yg putih keypadnya uda rata, deket2an banget kayaknya

aduh Tuhan tolong kuatkan iman ku.....

udah ada blom di indonesia...?

Wah... mantap nih yang doyan maen games : total ada 61 GAMES di paket pembelian F305.

11 Games : Bowling, Bass Fishing, Jockey, Johnny Crash Stuntman Does Texas, Tropical Madness, Racing Fever GT, The Sims 2, Jewel Quest 2, Lumines, Asteroids, Quadrapop Robotics.

Tambahan 50 Games :

Wah napsuin juga... nih... sayang 176x220

gile 61 games..

WAAAOW.

Gw naksir nih sama yg item, keren modelnya, tapi bagian belakangnya agak ilfeel dejh

putih lucu. hitam keren. bener sih, sayangnya cuma resolusi layar. gimana nasib game2 240x320 yg di post leo5354. bisa ga dimainin nanti

aaarrrgghhh

andai bukan 176x220 tapi 240x320.
gw jual juga w910 gw... :P

kalo gitu gw nunggu F315 aja. hehe

Kipednya kayak C905 tuh ya...model rata.

walopun resolusi layarnya kecil tapi kalo udah dibundle sama 61 game kayaknya gak masalah deh...asal bukan trial aja game2nya

yah tapi setelah memainkan 61 game itu? bosen donk

Wuah... HPnya punya design bagus uey... elegan.. cewe gue pasti mau nih HP.. kalo di liat dari keypadnya sih lumayan nyaman untuk ketik SMS. Tapi kalo urusan sensor maenin gamenya ini nih yang buth waktu buat ngebiasain.. gue liat demo waktu maen bowling ama mancingnya.. lucu juga kalo ngayun tuh HP tanpa liat layarnya Ha3x.. tapi hebat ini satu2xnya gaming phone yang pake sensor... Kudu di beli and di coba uey...

tapi gw suka banget nih sama modelnya..kecil mungil padat bergizi..

entah kenapa jadi mirip banget Cindy yang habis diet ketat
