CDMA tidak ada istilah HSDPA; yang ada EV-DO. Hampir semua CDMA Motorola yang termasuk "Middle End" dan "High End" sudah support "EV-DO" termasuk Motorola Q8 CDMA juga sudah support "EV-DO" dan tidak ada "Wi-Fi" karena di luar pada memakai jaringan seperti "EV-DO".

Kita ambil contoh saja di Sydney (Australia) yang sudah 3 atau 4 tahun lebih dulu menggunakan "3G"; mereka lebih memilih menggunakan "3G Data" di dalam koneksi internet dengan handphone dibandingkan menggunakan "WiFi".

Sebagai catatan saja: Tahun 2008 sudah akan di mulai "WiMax" dan kelihatannya "3G technology" akan segera ditinggalkan. Sekarang ini negara Taiwan sudah menunjuk Motorola sebagai pembangun "WiMax Station". Begitu pula di USA sendiri sudah mulai dengan "WIMax"; segera negara China, Jepang, Australia dan masih banyak lagi yang akan menggunakan "WiMax". Ntah berapa lama Indonesia baru akan menggunakan "WiMax".

nambahin dikit, dapet memory card trans flash 512MB. desktop charger, bisa ngecharge hape dan battnya (kayak motorola jaman dulu lagi, kalo beli M8700 dapet dektop).. jadi kalo punya 2 batt, bisa charge hape dan batt...

selullar shop jualan hape juga kok... waktu natal kemarin sih harga moto9h itu 4190. saat itu sih baru ada di selular shop saat itu, ditempat lain gak ada... krn motorola indonesia cuma ngeluarin 75 unit.. mungkin sekarang udh banyak dan harganya mungkin lebih murah...

Listen up, smartphone fans, there's a new Q in town, and believe it or not, it's quite a slick little device. The new Motorola Q9m for Verizon pairs excellent call quality with a terrific keyboard, making it a strong Windows Mobile choice. I just wish it felt a little quicker.

Put the Q9m side by side with an older Q and it looks bigger, but that's mostly an optical illusion. The older device tapered at the edges; the new one doesn't. The Q9m is really just a hair longer and thicker than the original Q, at 4.6 by 2.6 by 0.5 inches; it's also about the same size as the competing BlackBerry 8830. It's the heaviest of the trio, at 4.8 ounces, but it feels solid rather than bulky.

The biggest design change here is the keyboard, and this alone is why you should get a Q9m rather than an original Q. The original Q's oval keys were a bit slippery. The Q9m's larger, rectangular keys are easier to settle your fingers on (which helps you avoid mistyping), and they depress with satisfying clicks. All but the most ham-handed fingers will fly over this keyboard. Above the main keyboard, Motorola has increased the size and usability of the cursor pad, phone-call, and hang-up buttons—the latter two are twice as big as they were on the Q. Motorola has wisely kept the scroll wheel on the right-hand side, too. This is all good stuff that makes the Q9m one of the most usable Windows Mobile smartphones yet.

The Q was a terrific phone, and the Q9m is as well. Reception is very strong, up to the Q's level and even to that of the redoubtable Motorola E815. The earpiece and especially the speakerphone are unusually loud and clear, and ringtones sound terrific. There's a pleasant amount of feedback while you're talking, too. Voice dialing works well over the mono Bluetooth headsets I tested, such as the Motorola H680. Although I made calls and listened to music with the stereo Plantronics Pulsar 590, the Q9m's stereo Bluetooth setup doesn't seem to include the ability to trigger voice dialing. There's also a standard 2.5mm jack for wired headsets.

Verizon has refreshed the Q9m with a lot of useful new software. At the head of the pack is DataViz DocumentsToGo for Windows Mobile 6, which lets you view PDFs and view, edit, and create Microsoft Office documents. This software is far superior to the Pocket Office that other Windows Mobile 6 Standard devices ship with. DocumentsToGo also solves one of Windows Mobile 6 Standard's biggest problems, which is the lack of copy-and-paste in e-mail and most of the rest of the OS. Its Word, Excel, and PowerPoint-compatible apps are refreshing oases of cutting and pasting.

There's also a new music-centric home screen, activated with a dedicated key. This button flips you from the usual Windows Mobile look into a screen dominated by album art and song lists, where pausing and fast-forwarding your music are just a thumb-wheel away. V Cast Music is on board, if you use Verizon's over-the-air music download service. A file manager and task manager help keep Windows Mobile organized, and of course there's all the usual Windows Mobile 6 features, including the ability to sync both music and video with Windows Media Player and an easier-to-use e-mail setup program that lets you include Yahoo! Mail accounts.

For push mail, you can use a Microsoft Exchange server, Good Mobile Messaging, or Verizon's Wireless Sync system, though I've found Wireless Sync annoying to set up, unreliable, and a big battery drain. You store all of your programs and data in the Q9m's 50MB of usable memory or on a miniSD card: The phone is the first one on Verizon that officially supports miniSDHC cards up to 32GB, and you can buy 4GB cards right now. (The phone comes with a measly 128MB card in the box.)

Bluetooth support is very good, including file transfers, dial-up networking for both PCs and Macs, phone-book access for cars, and audio for stereo headsets. Using the phone as a USB modem for a PC, I got results very similar to the original Q's: speeds ranging from 300 to 700 Kbps on Verizon's EV-DO Rev 0 network. For surfing the Web on the phone itself, the included Pocket Internet Explorer is annoyingly slow, but that isn't the Q9m's fault. Upgrading to Opera Mobile gave me a nice speed boost.

Under the hood, you basically have a Q here. It's got the same 312-MHz Marvell (formerly Intel) processor, an EV-DO Rev 0 modem, a mini-USB charging plug, and a 320- by 240-pixel screen. The battery is slightly larger, however, so it lasts slightly longer. We got 5 hours, 18 minutes of continuous talk time on the Q9m, a respectable showing. We expect it to last between one and two days of standard use The Q9m also uses two light sensors to adjust screen brightness to match ambient light, conserving battery life and improving readability in much the same way that BlackBerry devices do. But it feels somewhat laggy, just like the Q. For example, when typing an e-mail message, sometimes I had to wait for the screen to catch up to my typing. Video played in Windows Media Player felt choppy (though it didn't stutter, as on my original Q), and PDF files took quite some time to open. Verizon also, annoyingly, disabled the GPS in here for everything except 911 calls.

The Q9m's 1.3-megapixel camera is also pretty much identical to the Q's, which was pretty unexciting. Pictures are a bit soft-focus, with a tendency to blow out bright areas, though they're generally acceptable. The shutter delay is brief at 0.4 seconds, but the camera then takes a second or so to recover, which makes the delay feel much longer. The video mode might as well not be there at all, as it takes low-res 176-by-144 videos at a useless 10 frames per second.

Back when the original Q launched, I dinged it for its expensive data plan. Verizon's data plans are still expensive, but I'm not going to hold that against this phone. If you don't intend to use your Q as a laptop modem, you end up paying $25 more per month on Verizon than with an equivalent plan on Sprint, but that's true of all Verizon Windows Mobile phones—it's not specific to the Q.

The Q9m is an excellent smartphone up against excellent competition—namely, the BlackBerry 8830, an even smoother messaging device. The 8830's speed and responsiveness, along with BlackBerry's new music and video players, cause me to continue to recommend it to folks looking for a no-nonsense messaging device. On the other hand, the Q9m integrates with Windows Media Player and can edit Microsoft Office documents, which the 8830 can't do, making the Q a more flexible mobile office.

AT&T and Sprint will have their own versions of the Q later this year. Check back soon for reviews of those models.

Emang sih lebih bagus teknologi 3G ama Wi-max, udah terbukti deh, tapi masalahnya di sini kan banyak hotspot gratis, sedangkan internet masih mahallllll, jadi that's why di sini banyak dicari wi-fi, hihihihi...

santai aja bro, org indonesia dan kebanyakan org di negri laen jg kalo nemu yg murmer apalagi gratisan pasti disamber duluan tuh..
toh para expat di ktr gw jg doyan2 aja tuh idup disini, apalagi pada doyan beli dvd bajakan tuh di ambass.. hahaha.. peace ah..

Hahaha... WiFi hanya dalam lingkup beberapa meter saja. WiMax dalam lingkup beberapa kilometer. Lalu kalo mau WiFi harus ke tempat-tempat tertentu seperti beberapa kafe dan beberapa kantor. Di Jakarta sich susah tuch cari hotspot WiFi yang gratis. Di Sydney juga susah cari hotspot WiFi gratis. Di Singapore juga susah cari hotspot WiFi gratis. Maka dari itu orang-orang di luar lebih memilih HSDPA dibandingkan WiFi.

Lalu sekarang saja pemerintah Indonesia lebih memilih membangun WiMax dibandingkan WiFi. Bagaimana dengan WiFi? Tidak terdengar lagi tuch pemerintah mendukung untuk membangun WiFi.

Wuihhh.. dah rame nehh omongin Q9h! Ikutan nimbrung ahh... Gue dah punya Q9h sktr 2 minggu, belon banyak diapa2in, semua masih di-test dengan sw standar bawaan q9h (so, belon sempet disiksa habis!), beli via citibank ezpay soale dapet bluetooth stereo headsetnya -- HT820 (sekarang dah ga lagi, dapetnya kalo ga salah portable charger) . Ini sedikit experience yang mo gue share:

*Positive:
1. Mostly ok koq, kenceng juga nih gadget!
2. Bisa edit documents,
3. Betul tuhh kalo keypad nya cihuy banget!
4. Prosesornya kenceng juga, mostly ga banyak lag
5. Sperti WM sblm2nya, mesti kill beberapa sw yg ga ada menu exit (tapi dah disediain koq,
jadi ga perlu 3rd party software killer.
6. Ga perlu takut automatic reset oleh sistem WM karena batere habis, so kalo mo pake ampe
batere habis, pake aja! Cihuuy banget seh!
7. Batere OK, suka gue paksa multitasking, dgr mp3 dari bluetooth, browsing, texting, dsb. Tapi
tetep terasa kurang banyak kapasitasnye, soale enak banget pakenya! hahaha!
8. Speaker ok, connection internet ok, sw 'n hw cukup stabil meski suka restart
(tapi jaraaang banget!)
9. Camera ok
10. Bisa otomatis searching e-mail provider, n lsg grab ke menu messages, so fun n easy!
11. Sudah disediakan mcafee virus scan, Yahoo! Go, tapi harus manually installed
12. Paket di dalem dus sudah lengkap

1. Suka bengong kalo habis delete file, Clear-Now-Playing di Windows Media
2. Pada File Explorer, ada menu find, tapi kalo file2 yg dicari dah ketemu, ga bisa diapa2in, cuma
diunjukin doank! hhhhh...
3. Windows media kadang suka ga mo baca file media, seakan2 file nya dah ilang.
4. Windows media ga bisa baca *.mpg, *.avi, *.asf. Kalo mau, harus ubah ke MP4, tapi ga selalu
bisa pake dimensi, frame rate, bitrate yang sama dengan original, suka nge-lag.
5. Ga ada shortcut add file lsg dari list now playing di Windows media. hhh...
Makanya lg cr 3rd party buat music&video player nehh... Ada yg tau, tapi kalo ada yg
non-java... mauuu dooong....
4. T-flash/micro-SD bikin transfer data rada lama drpd SD-Card kalo dari PC.

Generally, overall ok banget koq, puas juga pakenya. Mungkin kalo dah diinstall 3rd party sw n tweaking sw, jadi tambah seru n ok. Tapi standar pun dah ok. Soal feature yang lain yang tidak tersedia di Q9h, gue pikir, tinggal tergantung kebutuhan kita sebagai konsumer, tul gak? Anyway, have fun with this gadget deh!

Oh ya, sekalian dehh.. ada yang tau site2 yang sediain sw2 n file2 buat modding E680 jadi E680i? Gue pgn modding E680 gue nehh... Sw2 n file2 recommended apa aja yg diperlukan? Sekalian kalo ada guidance nya... Mau doong... Buat moto-lovers n moto-modders, mohon pencerahannya dooong... plzz.... Thx sblmnya yaaaa...

Oh ya, mau nambahin sedikit...

Ini smartphone khan ada backlight sensor nya tuhh... letaknya ada di depan, kanan atas. Sensornya running well banget koq! bisa adjust automatically, so kalo di tempat gelap, ga perlu sipit2in mata karena cahaya LCD dan di tempat terang ga perlu miring2in handheld nya lagi biar keliatan tulisannya! Hahahaha!

Selama gua coba dari page ampe malem play mp3, telp, texting, dsb, ga pernah ngalamin batere panas. everthing's just fine, normal2 aja. Kalo pernah sekali ato dua kali restart, gue rasa mungkin karena prosesornya dah fatigue banget kali yee... hehehe...

Pokoknya, ini mobile bussiness yang terhebat yang gue punya! Bukan mau promo niihh... Tapi emang excellent buat browsing, texting (saking ga sadarnya, sekali texting ampe 7 messages sekali kirim! Hehehe!), download attachment, transer data ke pc, dll dehh... meski ga bisa customize keypad, tapi kalo dah nyoba, rajin berlatih tiap hari dan minum susu tiap pagi, pasti ok koq! Hahahaha!!!

Jadi ga sabaran nungguin yang genghis.... mauuuu...

ngomong2 sw buat dijadiin q9c yang built-in GPS n wi-fi nya dah ada belon yaa... jadi kepengen ngprek neh! Dah gitu harus dapetin WM6 Pro yg smartphone nya neh...

kalo beli versi U.S kira2 ada tipe yg support wi-fi gak ya? kalo gak salah ada 3 versi ya? tp yg mana?
